Jared, Camille, Charity, Harley and Lizzie Parmenter and all our adventures.

It's good to know our childhood passtimes are still alive and well. this was the main reason I decided I need to by an SUV.
This was immediately after clearing my driveway of about 18 inches. as you can see, it was already time for round 2...
Charity is trying out her new camers, a birthday present from her mom and I, but I snapped a shot of her hugging the statue of her favorite stop at the zoo.
Here is a different shot with the hand in the background.
We were so excited about the way this turned out! I'm pretty sure its our best one yet!
Grandma and Grandpa got Charity cute new friends at the zoo. so the three little wild animals are playing together while the rest of us listen to conference. it's been a very good day.
Jared always claims he's the frosting monkey! I think Charity took over that job today.
Charity would love to be a zoo keeper when she gets older but for now this is the only animal she can tame! and the zebra I guess. lol
Charity picked, with no prompting from her dad I might add, she chose to ride the classic car. I am really proud that my daughter chose the classic Vette over a "Bob the Builder" tractor or a kiddie pony or something.
Charity decided today at the state fair that she wants a pet lemur (a baby one with a diaper like Gizmo that she held today) a white tiger, and a pet snake that she also held today. We may eventually have a farm or zoo or an entire wild animal park! We love that she is so intrigued with animals of all sorts!
Gizmo decided he wanted to visit Charity. He jumped off of Jared on to her. She was a little shocked at first but quickly became excited about holding and hugging a lemur!
so begins the quest for fried foods from the fair. we will start with Chocolate Covered Fried Bacon!
These snow covered mountains were gorgeous.
Here I am, the head banana, with my little monkey comparing ourselves to our less tax-ridden cousins at the Hogel Zoo.
For my birthday in January Camille took me to Anniversary Inn in Logan. We were both impressed with how gorgeous the winers are there.
I was so in love with the way trees looked with ice clinging to the branches. they looked like trees of ice.
This bush looked like a geyser of ice. I really loved how this snow all looked.
Thanks Mark and Michelle for another amazing birthday party! Charity loved the face painting and she's been telling us she a princess ever since!
Windy or not we loved our picnic at Nunns Park.
Nothing like picnic food on a warm day.

Charity and mom sit and watch the falls.
My girls are so cute.
We can't get Charity to leave stores at the mall anymore but it isn't shopping that keeps here there... it's the "shake-a shake-a shake-a"
More homes from the 1800's village at the Sacajawea Center
Old mud kilns for breads and for smoking hides.
Did I mention it is bog adjacent?
We got to see how the clay from Salmon's river valley is fired into pottery.
who knew that every living thing, including us, has enough chemicals needed to tan their own hides inside their own heads...
I think we may have a future mountain woman on my hands.
The great and brave explorer had to lead us through the woods at the Sacajawea Center
Each year a group of people live by 1800 standards for 10 days at the Sacajawea Center in Salmon Idaho. this is one of the shelters they built and lived in for the event.
This time I mean the fish. Grandpa is telling Charity all about our Chinook friends and home-town namesake.
I remember the days of locking various younger cousins and siblings inside this old wagon-drawn hay bailer.
This is an old truck driven by my grandpa and then my dad and uncles. nostalgia and just an amazing vehicle.
Here is the amazing view back up the Salmon river which runns right past our hotel.
On our trip to visit my grandparents we stayed down the river a few miles in North Fork. this is the view from the deck behind our room.
in case you were wondering, this is the place I was born and call home much to the protest and gentle teasing of my wife.
we stopped on our way to Salmon and showed Charity the temple where grandma and gradpa got married
She was such a brave girl to sit while mommy put braids in her hair. We went to the mall and before we even got inside 2 people had already said how cute her hair was! Needless to say she's loving the attention!
She started out well but ended up crying in the end. The roler coaster just jerked her around too much.
Ny girls had fun riding the carosel that never ended...
