Charity at Home

We are home now and Charity is as cute as ever. We are continually working to get more pictures of her to post. The one on the left is the night we got home and the one on the right is the Sunday after. We wanted to get some pictures of her in her blessing dress and this one was just too cute.

Harley and Lizzie both love Charity though Lizzie is not really sure what she is. Harley has already taken to protecting Charity and is not shy to let people know when he thinks they have been holding her for too long. Harley also loves to sit with Camille or I whenever we feed Charity. He lays his head on her legs and stays with her. It was great that the very first day Charity was home Harley kept going into her room to check on her.

I am continually taking and editing new pictures and will post more hopefully tonight or tomorrow.

Sweet Charity

Camille and I are excited to announce the birth of our first daughter Charity Camille Parmenter. She was born last night at 9:24 PM (MDT). She weighed in at 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was 18 in. long. We went to the hospital about 3:30 Sunday afternoon and about 6 hours later Charity was here.

She is sweet and spry and is already trying to check everything out. Hey eyes are looking around all of the time.

Both mommy and baby are doing really well and are excited to go home.

Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day

Once a year comes a holiday so savy that men cower in fear... it is official "Talk Like a Pirate Day". As is tradition on this day one must engage in all of activities of our swash-buckling fore-fathers. The first thing to do is get yer own pirate name:

My pirate name is:

Dread Pirate Kidd

Like the famous Dread Pirate Roberts, you have a keen head for how to make a profit. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!

Get your own pirate name from piratequiz.com.

To get yer Pirate name visit: http://www.piratequiz.com/

Also be sure to visit one of our favorite "Talk Like a Pirate Day" websites for all sorts of fun and games: http://www.talklikeapirate.com/piratehome.html

Don't forget to see what yer Pirate personality be:

You are The Cap'n

Some men and women are born great, some achieve greatness and some slit the throats of any scalawag who stands between them and unlimited power. You never met a man - or woman - you couldn't eviscerate. You are the definitive Man of Action, the CEO of the Seven Seas, Lee Iacocca in a blousy shirt and drawstring-fly pants. You’re mission-oriented, and if anyone gets in the way, that’s his problem, now isn’t? Your buckle was swashed long ago and you have never been so sure of anything as your ability to bend everyone to your will. You will call anyone out and cut off his head if he shows any sign of taking you on or backing down. If one of your lieutenants shows an overly developed sense of ambition he may find more suitable accommodations in Davy Jones' locker. That is, of course, IF you notice him. You tend to be self absorbed - a weakness that may keep you from seeing enemies where they are and imagining them where they are not.

What's Yer Inner Pirate?

Happy Pirating me maties!

The Puppies

For those that do not already know, Camille and I went to St. George two years ago and brought home the first addition to our family. Harley is an AKC registered Yorkshire Terrier and a member of our family.

He is a little bit mischievous and really too smart for his own good. He knows all the best hiding places and has even figured out how to get out of two different cages we have gotten for him to stay in. The first one was low enough that he figured out how to scale it like a ladder. The second one he figure out how to push the hinged section over the stairs and drop out of.

We love Harley to death. I really didn't think a person could love a pet quite like we love him. He is one of the family to us.

A short while later Harley met Lizzie. She was a Yorkie that was bought by one of our friends. They really loved playing together so when the family that had Lizzie decided they could no longer keep her we immediately took her in.

She is a year younger than Harley and is very playful. She is not as cunning or mischievous as him but is more like the little sister that likes to pester Harley and follow him around. Harley acts like she annoys him but if she is out of the room he just has to know what she is doing.

Lizzie is a lot more hyper and gets really excited whenever she meets new people.

Both are sweet and we love them to death. Like I said, I never knew that I could love pets as much as I do. They are a big part of our life and we do not know what we would ever do without them.

Our Growing Family

Camille and I are happy to announce that we are going to be having our first baby. Our little girl is due on November 5th and we are really excited to meet her. I know many people doubted for a long time that we would ever even have kids but we were just taking out time.

We have already talked about names and it is almost certain that her name will be Charity Camille Parmenter. Camille and I have a tendancy to have completely different likes and dislikes for names so when we find one we both like we have to jump on it and Charity was one of those.

As we get more details about her we will let you all know but she is already a vivacious little scamp. When Camille and I went to California she must have known the day we were going to Disney Land because she really started rocking and rolling at that point.

Work is Tough

For those of you visiting my page to find out about me I thought a quick background post was in order.

After serving a missing in Honduras from August 1998 to August 2000 I returned to school at UVSC. I am currnetly finishing my Bachelors of Business Administration there at UVSC and really love the school.

I am currently the Director of Marketing Support at Bill Good Marketing (www.billgood.com). I work with a terrific team of Marketing Support Consultants who train Financial Advisors on using the system and increasing their production. It is a very fufilling and fun job. There are so many different avenues in the financial world.

About two years after returning from my mission I married Camille, my beautiful wife. She and I now live in Springville with our two puppies. We built a house in October of 2004 and we have loved being there ever since.

February of 2006 Camille and I bought the salon, Naturally Yours Salon & Spa, where she has been doing hair for about 5 years now. It has been a lot of fun to run our own business and will hopefully provide a stable future for us.

Planet Earth

If you have not seen it already you need to check out Discovery Channel's Planet Earth. I have been watching it for the past few weeks and it is amazing. I have already set aside the money to get my own DVD and hopefully I will get an HD TV soon so I can see all of the clarity of the images.

Welcome

Welcome to my family's little home on the web. Things are always crazier on the net I suppose so if they had an e-straight jacket I would be wearing it. I wanted to share some of the fun and what is going on with Camille and I and our little family.

Camille and I now live in Springville. No kids yet but we have two Yorkshire Terriers we love and have a lot of fun with.

Stop by and say hi!
